In today’s briefing update,  two bodies have been found in the search for the missing murder suspects. The teenagers were last seen two weeks ago. Although not confirmed, the bodies found are believed to be the missing suspects.

Next, we head to Kabul after the Taliban detonated a suicide car bomb attack. The attack has killed 14 and injured over 100 more – including women and children.

Finally, The US has said India and Pakistan must engage in ‘direct dialogue’ over Kashmir.

CANADA MANHUNT: BODIES FOUND IN HUNT FOR MURDER SUSPECTS

CNN reports Canadian police have found two bodies in their search for murder suspects Kam McLeod and Bryer Schmegelsky. The bodies found are still to be formally identified but police are confident they have found the murder suspects. Canada Manhunt: Bodies found in hunt for murder suspects

On Wednesday, Police had a breakthrough when they found items belonging to the suspects on the bank of the Nelson River. This led to the police finding the bodies soon after. Police could not confirm how they died or how long they had been dead. 

McLeod and Schmegelsky have been on the run since for the last two weeks. Accused of murdering three people, a lecturer and an Australian-US couple. The teenage suspects were last seen on 22 July. 

Schmegelsky’s father said his son planned to go out in “a blaze of glory” just two weeks ago.

TALIBAN ATTACK ON KABUL POLICE CENTRE KILLS 14

Arab News reports, a Taliban car bomb attack outside a police recruitment centre in Kabul has killed 14 people and injured over 145. Those wounded were mainly civilians – including women and children. The blast destroyed over 20 rooms in the centre and damaged nearby buildings. Taliban attack on Kabul police center kills 14

There has been growing violence and attacks in the Capital and across Afghanistan. Militant groups have been threatening to derail next month’s presidential poll. The Taliban has increased attacks in civilian areas as part of a move to “provoke the public against the system.”

On Tuesday, the Taliban and US diplomats said they had made “excellent progress” in peace talks in Qatar.

RT News says, the US has verbally intervened in the conflict over Kashmir.
