US MASS SHOOTINGS: TRUMP CONDEMNS WHITE SUPREMACY & UPDATES IN OHIO AND EL PASO SHOOTINGS

WTX News reports President Trump condemned racism and white supremacy and said ‘hate has no place in America.’ The President blamed mental illness and hate for the reasons behind the El Paso shooting and balmed social media and violent video games for glorifying violence. America’s deadly day: Trump says racism and hate have no place in the US

The President did not address his own racist remarks and whether they may have influenced the El Paso shooter. Critics say Trump’s harsh language towards illegal immigrants has contributed to a rise in racially-motivated attacks. 

The death toll in the El Paso shooting has risen after two more people died following Sunday’s domestic terrorist attack. 13 hours after the El Paso shooting a second mass shooting took place in Ohio. Police now say the Ohio shooter may have had up to 250 rounds of ammunition and at this point, it’s unclear if he purposefully targeted his sister.

SOUTH LIBYA: AIRSTRIKES KILLS MORE THAN 40

France 24 reports, Eastern Libyan forces issued a drone airstrike in the southern Libyan town of Murzuq – killing at least 43 people and injuring 51. The figures are just the initial numbers, there is a chance of a rising death toll and a rise in those who have been injured. The Libyan National Army (LNA) has been blamed for the airstrike, they were previously blamed for another major airstrike in June. South Libya: Airstrikes kills more than 40

The LNA has confirmed a strike on Sunday but denied they targeted citizens. They had denied the June detention airstrike but acknowledged increased airstrikes. 

The LNA has not officially been named as the ones responsible for the attack.

HONG KONG: A HUGE DAY OF PROTESTS

CNN reports a huge day of protests in Hong Kong during its third consecutive day of unrest. On Monday, strikes and protests across Hong Kong has caused major disruption that has grounded flights and blocked major roads. The mass pro-democracy strikes and protests signify the most wide-ranging day of demonstrations seen over the last two months. Hong Kong: A huge day of protests

Strikers’ range from teachers, aviation workers, finance employees and civil servants and the strikes are expected to disrupt the financial hub today. CNN confirms police are still firing teargas at protesters across all the demonstrations. 

An estimated 224 flights have been cancelled, 24 people have been hospitalised and police brutality once again questioned after a young woman was allegedly sexually assaulted.
