US OFFICIALLY CONDEMNS TRUMP’S TWEETS BY VOTE

Arab News leads with, the US House of Representatives have officially condemned the President’s tweets, as racist. The House called the tweets, aimed at four minority congresswomen, xenophobic and said he used hostile language targeting immigrants. trump tweets labelled racist by house of representatives

Four members of his party voted alongside 235 Democrats to condemn him for “racist comments that have legitimised and increased fear and hatred of new Americans and people of colour.” 

Democrats hold the majority in the House, however, they are outnumbered in the Senate where the resolution is unlikely to be considered. President Trump has stood by his comments and rejects claims he is a racist.

INDIA’S MONSOON RAINS: 14 BODIES FOUND AFTER ANOTHER BUILDING COLLAPSES

Arab news reports, the devastating effect of the Monsoon rains in Mumbai as rescuers pulled 14 bodies from a collapsed building. Rescuers had worked overnight wading through the rubble after the four-story building collapsed. The building was nearly 100 years old and believed to have housed 15 families. building collapses in india killing 14 people

They found 11 survivors and are still searching for two or three people they believe to be trapped. This marks the fifth building to collapse this month in the area leaving a devastating trail of destruction and loss.

CAMBODIA SENDS BACK 1,600 TONS OF TRASH THE US & CANADA DUMPED

RT news reveals Cambodia is set to return the 1,600 tons of trash the US and Canada sent to their country. The 83 shipping containers, discovered in a fishing village,  are packed with plastic waste. Though the ministry does not yet know which companies were responsible for bringing the containers, a spokesman said 70 were American and 13 came from Canada. cambodia to send the US and Canda its 1600 tons of trash they dumped

The Cambodia Prime Minister has said the country is ‘not a dustbin’ and any companies discovered to be responsible will be prosecuted. It has been said many countries in South East Asia, who often carry the burden, have grown tired of cleaning up the mess created by the West.

VENEZUELAN TEEN BLINDED BY RUBBER PELLETS AS PROTEST TURNS BLOODY

A 16-year old who attended a July 12 protest with his mother and younger brother, has lost both of his eyes. Rufo Chacon was protesting the shortage of cooking gas in the area when police used extreme force and fired rubber pellets into the crowd. Mr Chacon has already said he’s beginning to forget colours. teen blinded by police brutality following peaceful protest

52 rubber pellets hit his face, 16 of them directly into his eyes. His 14-year old brother received head injuries as he was struck with a police baton. 

A report into the incident has said police failed to give a warning and two officers have been charged with “attempted murder, improper use of a weapon and cruel treatment” in dealing with the protesters. They are currently awaiting trial.

FOREIGN MINISTER DECLARES ‘VICTORY FOR PAKISTAN’ FOLLOWING VERDICT ON COMMANDER KULBHUSHAN JADHAV

Geo News reports, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has called the International Court of Justice’s (ICJ) ruling denying the acquittal and release of Mr Qureshi a ‘victory for Pakistan’. The ICJ has rejected claims that the conviction and sentence of Mr Jadhav were a violation of Article 36 of the Vienna Convention. ICJ rejects Indias request to release Mr Jadhav, Pakistani Minister declaresit as a victory

The ICJ rejected  Indian’s requests to release Mr Jadhav from Pakistani custody and he will remain in Pakistan and under Pakistani laws. Mr Jadhav, an Indian Navy officer entered Pakistan under a fake identity. He has admitted having been involved in espionage and as a result of his terror activities, some Pakistani’s lost their lives.

Mr Jadhav was working under the direction of the Indian state. He was arrested on March 3, 2016, after he entered Pakistan from Iran. Mr Jadhav was tried in a military court, he has been sentenced to death.
