LUCY MCHUGH MURDER: CARE WORKER LODGER FOUND GUILTY OF TEEN’S MURDER

The Guardian reports Stephen Nicholson, 25 has been found guilty of murdering the 13- year old after she threatened to expose the year-long sexual abuse she suffered. man charged with teens murder

Mr Nicholson was a lodger at the family home in Hampshire. He had stabbed her 27 times after luring her into the woods. Mr Nicholson had tried to dispose of the weapon and his bloody clothes. 

Mr Nicholson had assaulted another underage girl before he began abusing Lucy at age 12. A letter found to Mr Nicholson from the teen said she believed she was pregnant, which is believed to be part of the reason he murdered her. A post mortem revealed she was not pregnant.

MPS BACK BID TO STOP THE SHUT DOWN OF PARLIAMENT, SETTING BACK PLANS TO PUSH A NO-DEAL BREXIT

BBC News reports MPs have backed the House of Lords bid to prevent the next PM from suspending Parliament to force a no-deal Brexit. A FIRE AT BRISTOL HOTEL COLLAPSES BUILDING AND CAUSES CHAOS FOR THE ROADS

BBC News reports on the fire that started on Wednesday afternoon in Bristol. The Premier Inn Hotel, near Cribbs Causeway, still has pockets of fire within it and the building has started to collapse onto the busy A road near the M5. 

The conditions inside the hotel are “extremely dangerous” and warnings about visibility on the M5 have been issued. Residents have been instructed to keep windows and doors shut because of the smoke. bristol hotel fire causing road issues

As the building continues to collapse, the pockets of fire are becoming harder for the Fire Department to extinguish. Officials confirmed all guests of the hotel have been accounted for.
