HUNT VOWS TO DO EVERYTHING POSSIBLE TO STOP TEHRAN FROM GETTING THE BOMB AS HE MEETS WITH EU

Hunt has flown to Brussells for Monday’s meeting with EU counterparts regarding Iran. The E-3 Nations (Britain, Germany and France) issued the last-minute attempt to keep the four-year-old deal alive, they have called for the Islamic Republic to show “signs of goodwill.”

Mr Hunt has said he will do everything in his power to stop Iran from gaining Nuclear weapons. Believing the weapons would pose “an existential threat to mankind.”

CORBYN: WE MUST BE HONEST ABOUT BRITAIN’S CONTRIBUTION TO GLOBAL WARMING

The Independent reports Labour leader, Jeremy Corby has said Britain must stop passing the blame and be honest about how much Britain contributes to climate change. corbyn says UK must stop blaming poorer countries and be honest about global warming

Corbyn has said the scale of Britain’s carbon footprint has reduced due to the “outsourcing” of carbon emission to poorer countries.  He added that if he wins office he would amend the Climate Change Act to publish the “total carbon footprint” figure. 

Corbyn criticised the way the UK currently measures its carbon footprint adding, the current way “hides our true impact on our climate.”

KNIFE CRIME IN WALES ‘AT RECORD LEVELS’

BBC News follows the report that Wales has seen an increasing level of teenagers are being drawn into knife crime, according to police. The article suggests that the presence of “county lines” gangs, who move drugs from major cities into other areas, are the reason for the rise in people carrying knives. knife crime on the rise in wales

The report suggests Wales has seen the number of offences involving weapons rise above 80% over the last decade. The report says boys as young as 15 are being groomed into becoming drug dealers and carrying knives. There have been two fatal stabbings in the last year.

The Guardian leads with the reporter who Boris Johnson helped conspire to have beaten up, demanding an apology from the Tory leadership candidate. 

The reporter discusses the incident that took place nearly 30 years ago and said Johnson was not fit to be Prime Minister. In 1990, Mr Johnson was recorded agreeing to provide the address of the reporter to his friend Darius Guppy. LONDON FIGHT ENDS WITH SEVERAL INJURED AS A CAR IS PLOUGHED INTO THEM

BBC News reports several people have been injured after a car ploughed into them following a fight in Battersea. The injures reportedly range from broken bones to head injuries. 

Five have been arrested and the police are looking for the driver of the car who “fled the scene” before officers arrived. Police are not treating the incident as a terrorist attack. car crashes into a group fighting in london

HUNT BACKS PRESS FREEDOM AS MET POLICE CALLS FOR MEDIA TO NOT PUBLISH LEAKED GOVT MEMOS

Russian broadcaster RT News says Jeremy Hunt has defended the press’ right to publish and report on the leaked memos that criticised Trump’s administration. It comes as the Met Police have condemned the publication of the memos and urged those responsible to hand themselves in. 

hunt backs press freedom over leaked memosHunt acknowledges the leaked memos put a strain on UK/US relations, cost a “loyal ambassador his job” and the person responsible should be held accountable. However, Hunt said the press was right to publish the leaked memos if they felt it was in the public interest to know. He added it was their job to do so, in his tweet.
