A large fire involving a mobile crane closed both carriageways of the M62 in Greater Manchester on Sunday evening. Four fire crews arrived at the blaze on the westbound carriageway between junction 21 and 20 for Rochdale at about 20:30 BST. The westbound carriageway had reopened at about 04:00, but said the crane remained on the hard shoulder. Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said the heat from the blaze had caused the vehicle’s tyres to explode.

Uber has apologised to the TFL following the failure to renew its license in London and the Mayor has voiced that the firm should now get an audience with the TFL regulators to appeal its decision.
